Description
The alien flyer was found to be resilient. Its pale carapace acted as a protective armor, an effective shielding for inner body parts. Merciless shelling by Dreadnoughts HMS Invincible and HMS Resolution only helped a little to weaken the monster. The red glowing cores, however, was a different story. Initially hesitant to target these parts due to the concern that it might result in a more deadly radiation, the fleet did not have too many options to choose from as the beast now moved closer and closer to the oasis city of New Amethys.

Then it was done, the tail core. Much softer than the scaly white body, as predicted. Shattered to pieces as if it were a glass ball, it surprisingly only emitted a small amount of EMP blast, barely noticeable. Next target: the biggest core on the body.

It was not as easy as before nonetheless, as the flyer now gained more speed. HMS Resolution had to perform daunting maneuvers in an attempt to cut off its path, which responded by a sharp turn by the monster. Seeing an opening, and further incited by the alien's reluctance to return fire, HMS Invincible moved in close enough to the beast, and fired its maser cannons once the target core was locked on. Bulls eye.

The result, was both a win and a lost. The aerial monstrosity was finally taken down. But as the main core obliterated, it released as well the parting gift: powerful EMP shockwave, even far stronger than the first. Heavily affected by the blast, the Dreadnoughts suffered engine failures at once, but Resolution managed to power some of the emergency hovering thrusters in time. Invincible, however, did not happen to be so lucky. Being the closest one to the flying beast, the burst had inflicted the most damage. Unable to maintain altitude any longer, the massive airship had to surrender to gravity's embrace, plummeting to the barren rocky ground below, together with her prey.

Featuring [Dreadnought Airship] , and as a sequel to [Relentless Wings] . At first I had thought of more explosions, more cool effects, and other moooar awesome stuffs... but then I realized I am not Michael Bay... ... plus some effects are not that good either...
