Description My second entry into 's Coloring Book contest! 

For my second one I wanted to do Wreck-It Ralph again, but then I thought: "Hey, I should do something that no one has yet done."
So for my second one I went with one of my favorite childhood movies Tarzan!  I loved this movie to death when I was a kid and watched it all the time on the old things called VHS's.  Such good times.

I made an attempt to do the style of Joseph Mallord William Turner (or JMW Turner for short), mostly for the background.  He's known for making his paintings luminous and expressive and is called "the painter of light."  And I found coloring lightly easy for me, so I tried to make the background look like this: www.bbc.co.uk/arts/yourpaintin…

I could have done better, but I'm satisfied with the result I guess.

I am really happy with how this came out, it looks gorgeous!!

Cuties i din't know JMW was called the painter of the light, but your reproduction of his style isvery nice. The colours are vivid and bright, you can feel peaceful and serene piece of heaven in it.

Man, het dress is gorgeous... Love the shading in that!
It's also a very nice idea of adding those trees in there. It gives the viewer a more Jungle feeling XD Very clever.

We still have all our VHS tapes (including Tarzan) and watch them on our old VCR - no shame in that!  And I'm glad you shared your inspiration painting, I didn't recognize any particular artist in your picture at first but once I saw the painting I noticed the resemblance.  Good luck in the contest!

Yeah it was really hard to incorporate the style of the artist into my piece.  I didn't think it was enough, but I did the best I could.  Thank you so much, I'm glad there's someone who still watches VHS tapes like me.
