THIS IS NOT A RECOLOUR!!!This is Adelin. She is an OC I have been working on for This is her as a teenager.
Age: 14 (teen)
Gender: Female
Mastered Element: Water
A bit of a back story: The material twisted around her tail was actually part of her father's battle robes. He was one of Warfangs most trusted and noble of soldiers. Her father was killed in the battle for Warfang (dawn of the dragon) and her mother was given what could be found of his robes, giving them to Adelin so that her father would be with her in at least some small way... Adelin never actually met her father, but she always aspired to become a noble warrior just like him...
The rip and hole in Adelin's wing are from an injury she sustained fending off a pair of dreadwings in order to protect her friend. She definitely did inherit her fathers noble motives, and she will always wear those scars which fill her with pride, despite their hideous nature. She showed bravery beyond her years as she was only 2 years of age at the time (luckily some dragon elders stepped in and saved the pair), but it was always a question of whether Adelin could distinguish the fine line between bravery and blind stupidity...

I suppose you are right. I just didn't think that it was necessary seeming as it is not a character belonging to whoever owns the rights to Spyro now. You have to be so carefull these das... I still do not think that it gives someone the right to repeatedly post rude comments and then send me notes telling me that I am "butthurt" and troll facing me. I even tried to appologise and make amends, but then I was insulted once again.

Well actually the company who designed Cynder like that was Activision, the latest owners of Spyro, but even so you should give credit for the artist who drew the original. I know how you feel, people have done that to me :C

Hehe well I'm trying too start the story but I'm a bit confused my self cause I have my other story's the cry, Rattios in army, + on top of all that I work soo it kinda hard too do my story's pulse using this but the back story does help for me too get started on it but it mite me till I'm in school

At least I create my own characters instead of using the actual game/tv show characters in spin-off comics. I don't care if it's "fan art". I don't like making comments like this and I apologise in advance, but you need a taste of your own medicine.

Excuse me, but I drew this myself and in the way specified by the person who I did it for. They asked for it to look like Cynder excluding a few minor adjustments. Keep your rude comments to yourself thankyou very much and find something better to do with your time. If anyone is to be criticized, it should be you for taking the time to post such hurtful comments. I worked really hard on this so that it did bare a resemblance to Cynder.

If I were to bring up the original [link] and compare them to this, Its a recolour.
but its not yours so I won't be fully negative to you. but in one thought, I know you said thats it ment to bare Cynder but that put in a example. If I were to take Sonic the Hedgehog. change his colour, add different accessories from his previous design and claim that its ment to resemble Sonic, Is it a recolour a OC? Enlighten me.

Well, I am sorry that copy right is such a sensitive issue these days. I am not making any money out of this so Sierra (or whoever currently owns the rights to Cynder's character) has nothing to worry about. I am not actually using one of their characters so I did not give credit to them for something which is not theirs.
Thankyou for the positive feedback, but I am not sure that it outweighs all of the negativity...
Something can still be an OC if it resembles another character. It should also be noted that dragons look pretty much the same as one another. What I mean is that one adult female dragon would not look dissimialr to that of another (save for a few of it's features and colours). The guardian dragons in Spyro may look completely different, but underneath I can guarantee that they are all drawn the same way.
I really do wish that you would stop refering to this as a recolour as it is NOT a recolour. Note that the body (as in the main torso or mid-section) is actually a different shape as are the wings. I did not use the same scale pattern as on the picture you linked to and also the tail is in a completely different pose. I did not use the same tail "blade" or wing blades either. Their are two similarities between this Cynder picture and my piece. They are the same style and they are facing the same direction. That is all...
Other people will read this comment and it reflects badly on me as well as my work when they see this. I am asking you nicely to keep comments like these to yourself. I don't remember asking for a critique on this work anyway.
