Name: Yayoi Sato
Stage Name: Ikuya Fujisuke
Gender: Nonbinary (they/them)
Yayoi is open about their gender identity now!

Birthdate: 18: March 5th, 2002

Nationality: Japanese
Height and weight: 166 cm (5'5") // 89kg (196lb)

Specialty: Singing and Acting

Personality:
+ Optimistic:  Yayoi is always one to see the brighter side of things. No matter the difficulties life brings they always try to find that silver lining.

- Naive: They have limited experience of the world due to being brought up in a small town in Hokkaido. They're still pretty new to living in tokyo and are a total green horn when it comes to dealing with high stakes situations like paparazzi, internet rumors, and the likes.

- Insecure: Yayoi is obsessed with how they look and how people perceive them. They're constantly late due to trying to look the best they can wherever they go. Whenever they make a joke they always worry people are laughing at them rather than the jokes they've made. They want and hope people are seeing them in the best light, but due to the fact that they're still in the closet of their gender identity they constantly find themself worrying over whether or not people really see the 'true' Yayoi or if they're some kind of monster for hiding that part of themselves away.

= Allocentric: They're a people pleasure! They want to make people smile and laugh. Whenever they see a friend hurt or in trouble they want to pitch in and make them feel better! Normally this would be great but added to their insecure and naive nature more often than not this leads to them being a doormat to people.

=Silly: At their core, Yayoi loves to make others laugh. For the longest time they suppressed this feature of their nature for fear of rejection however, now that theyre open about their identity they're eager to let loose and make others laugh once more!

Biography:

Yayoi hails from the humble region of Hokkaido, born in a village that was known for its rice paddies, a close knit community, motorbikes.. and that was about it! They have a father named Toru who worked in auto-mechanics, a mother named Aya who worked at a popular restaurant in town and a younger sister named Nana who was well... Nana! Their life in Hokkaido was humble, but it was also full of love and support. And it showed. Which is to say that the Satos were a heavyset family, especially when Yayoi was younger.

It's hard to pinpoint an exact date when Yayoi became interested in Idols. When they were younger they loved to mimic and impersonate popular idols on tv. They weren't exactly good impersonations, but they were cute, and Yayoi had a way to make people laugh which made them incredible popular during their elementary school years, which was a relief to their parents who always worried that their children would be targets for bullying due to their weight.

As they grew older their interests in idols and the entertainment industry grew as well. They took up dancing and as a way to be up to date with their favorite idol group's dance moves. Whenever their sister Nana was down Yayoi would perform impressions of their favorite gameshows to cheer her up. They joined choir and later formed a band with their friends (although it was short lived). And whenever the culture festival rolled around they were always suggesting a school play just so they could get a chance to act in a lead role.

That all changed when Yayoi entered middle school. As part of their graduation ceremony from elementary to middle school school their class decided to old a talent show to celebrate. Yayoi blew everyone away during the talent contest and by either a string of fate or by a stroke of luck, they also managed to impress a talent scout who was taking a vacation at the time. He was so impressed by Yayoi’s performance he asked them to join his studio as the newest idol for his group.

Ah but real life isn’t a fairy tale. Despite being impressed by Yayoi’s talents he was… less impressed by their figure. In order to become the next top idol Yayoi’s contract deemed it necessary that they undergo an extreme weight loss to match the classic idols figure, something of which their sister Nana greatly opposed. Why change something that’s already perfect after all?

Yayoi didn’t see Nana’s perspective however and went through with the contract, agreeing to go through rigorous training during their three years of middle school. Their parents were so enthralled at Yayoi’s Cinderella story coming to life they joined them and together the three became extreme health nuts. They were done being the fat country bumpkins of Hokkaido and were ready become new idols of the future! Meanwhile, unbeknownst to Yayoi, Nana began to drift apart from Yayoi and their parents.

The talent scout hired a personal trainer to help Yayoi lose weight, as well as practice their singing, dancing, and various other lessons on manners and etiquette for dealing with the public. Suddenly Yayoi's fun little hobbies weren't hobbies anymore but preparations for a real life career.

While they were excited to finally peruse their dream, the reality of just how hard it would be, started to hit them. Any free time they had was quickly filled with extra lessons. Breaks in school were replaced with trips to the city to train with professional dancers, singers and tutors. They rarely saw their parents who were pulling double shifts to cover the costs of all of Yayoi's lessons. And Nana? Nana found herself being overshadowed by their flashy older sibling's fairytale of a life come true, and so by that point was beginning to hate Yayoi. Visits with their friends were replaced with lectures about their weight, and looks, which, during middle school is just about the last thing you needed to be reminded of. Not to mention they were constantly being reminded what a perfect idol was.

Yayoi tried their best to uphold the values they were being taught but something just didn't fit right, which made it hard for them to adapt. An idol is much more than being a pretty face who can sing and dance. She is someone who is a role model to girls across the country. She has the power to brighten up anyone's day with just one smile. And most importantly, she is a physical representation of Japanese culture; the very best of it.

The talent scout returned during Yayoi's third year of middle school. This time he had brought with him a group of representatives from the studio to review Yayoi's progression. In the end Yayoi's performance and skills were deemed quite impressive but they still weren't satisfied with their weight loss and decided to terminate the contract with Yayoi. Yayoi of course was heart broken at this, but they also were a little relieved, which troubled them. Why were they relieved?

It was after a little bit of soul searching with a cousin Yayoi realized why. The reason the lessons were so hard for them wasn't because they weren't talented, but it was because they were trying to be an idol that just wasn't them. They weren't male, they weren't female. They were nonbinary! And while they could look and act the roles they were given, it wasn't the same.

This revelation led them to applying to Sunrise Academy, an academy known for producing idols. After all even though they failed to land a contract deal it didn't mean that they couldn't continue their studies of being an idol! And their parents were nothing but supportive for the move.

Following the move Yayoi spent the next few years diligently studying at sunrise academy. During those years Yayoi was more or less in the closet about their gender identity. However as they met and befriended more people and grew more accustomed to the life as an active idol they gradually started to relax. Over time they shared their identity to those closest to them until eventually they made the public announcement during their graduation.

it was during their graduation announcement they came out as nonbinary as well as announced the end to their stage name yayoi sato. from now on they were to be known as the artist and actor Ikuya Fujisuke!

With their identity now known to the public they decided to join the rising sun agency with the hopes to finally be the idol they always dreamed they could be.
