Description

I do not like Santorum one bit. He is too focused on the social issues that would create less freedom than if he left it alone. Also he tried to use some of PA's money for a football stadium rather than the road repair it was meant too. Goodness knows the state's motto is "Road work ahead"

Funny how neocons like Santorum rant about fiscal responsibility yet tend to be the biggest pork-barrel spenders ever. That’s the problem with the American conservative movement: it’s no longer conservative, just insane!

PurplePhoneixStar In reply to BlameThe1st [2012-03-21 17:58:32 +0000 UTC]

It's only conservative if you want to bash gays and abortion anymore. I wish they would get to the real issues instead of that kind of crap on the social side. Honestly I am like, "I don't care what you are doing as long as you don't bother me with it" when it comes to social issues honestly. I want to hear someone address entitlement abuse, tax loopholes and real ways to help the economy, not this crap.

Besides, if you ban abortion and porn, that would hurt jobs, not help.

I'm a social conservative and I'd support anybody (or anything) over Obama, but Santorum isn't economically conservative enough; I think he's a little afraid to talk about it.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

PurplePhoneixStar In reply to Starlow-FTW [2012-03-21 18:00:20 +0000 UTC]

I guess he can't defend his record other than "Take one for the Republican team" on that so he won't talk about it.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Starlow-FTW In reply to PurplePhoneixStar [2012-03-21 18:02:38 +0000 UTC]

Still, Santorum isn't terrible; I wouldn't mind Santorum being president, and if it meant no more Obama, I wouldn't mind even Romney; I just think there were and are better candidates.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

PurplePhoneixStar In reply to Starlow-FTW [2012-03-21 18:10:03 +0000 UTC]

True. What confuses me about the GOP in general is they are all for less spending and smaller government until it interferes with what they want.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Starlow-FTW In reply to PurplePhoneixStar [2012-03-21 18:14:05 +0000 UTC]

Romney isn't really for smaller government like a real conservative is. I think Santorum is genuinely for smaller government and less spending, though. Social conservatives like him can be for that.

PurplePhoneixStar In reply to Starlow-FTW [2012-03-21 18:23:35 +0000 UTC]

I just don't trust his personality with the power of the president. I grew up in PA while he was serving and I cannot let his misappropriations that hurt our state stand idly by.

Starlow-FTW In reply to PurplePhoneixStar [2012-03-21 20:08:25 +0000 UTC]

Obama will utterly ruin your state and the country. I can't stress enough how if Obama wins, we lose.

Yeah, Obama is low on my voting list. So far it goes:

1. Paul
2. Romney
3. Gingrich
4. Obama
5. Santorum (Sorry but I really think he would do a very bad job as president. )

Very, that's why I am glad PA voted him out yet somehow is trying to root for the guy that almost f***ed up the state. Kinda stupid when you think about it. Voting for a guy because he is from your state and that's it is incredably dumb.

Oooooh hate lack of edit. PurplePhoenixStar, Ron Paul is awesome. Thought I have to say, I like me some healthcare, so I'm going with Obama this November. Also like me some birth control and same-sex marriage, so no Romney (let's face it, he's getting the nomination). Also hating the media for ignoring Ron Paul, and WTFing the republicans for elbowing out Huntsman. Santorum is just plain un-electable, and Romney simply cannot beat Obama, as Obama's pockets are just as (if not more) deep than Romney's. Okay, enough rant.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 0

elena-iskra89 [2012-03-09 22:45:27 +0000 UTC]

Yes, PA hates this guy. Most here are like "wtf, he is going for president? he was crappy enough as a senator!" I can't wait for him to come back here campaigning. mwahahahahahahahahahahaahahahaaaaaaa

ps. Long before Dan Savage, PA republicans spread it around that "Santorum is latin for asshole". He's never been a popular guy.

I'm going to say this but i think american politics is probably the worst in the world, i barely hear a country who let people who have 2 braincells into government, and Santorum goes on about being free but wants to ban homosexuallity all together, abortion, contraception and pornography, Also i found it funny how in Iowa how he came out 2nd above ron paul, i mean wtf. I would never vote for him, who would, atleast this pic shows how much of a douche he is

PurplePhoneixStar In reply to Sonikkubumu [2012-02-17 18:44:45 +0000 UTC]

It confuses me too. What I don't get is the GOP claims they want to beat Obama yet Romney and Paul the two who could give him a good fight (based off poll data from independets who turn the election) are the ones they hate. It confuses me to no end.

I feel you. Ron Paul doesn't sell out to Big Church or Big Business and that is why the GOP doesn't like him. If they really wanted to beat Obama, they would have Paul be the nominee, he would turn it for them by taking the independents and disgruntled democrats what really decide it.

Santorum's washed up from what I can tell. I doubt he's going to place well in either Iowa or New Hampshire; if he doesn't get better than 3rd in either state he will probably drop out of the race.

I hope he does. When we voted him out in PA he only got like 20% of the vote.
