1. Friendship is Magic Part 1 - Average

This was an OK episode. It was fun meeting Twilight Sparkle and Spike, and seeing how Twilight didn't care for friendship because she was too busy studying, and it was great meeting the rest of the Mane 6, especially Pinkie Pie. The gasp was absolutely priceless, and how she was so innocent, talking about "guessing games" when Nightmare Moon came. The legend of Nightmare Moon and the Elements of Harmony was very interesting, too.

2. Friendship is Magic Part 2 - Excellent

This, I really enjoyed. Seeing the Mane 6 get through all the challenges Nightmare Moon put the through and Twilight slowly getting closer to them was great. I especially enjoyed The Laughter Song, and Steven Magnet was brilliant. The battle at the end where it turned out the Mane 6 represented the Elements was brilliant, and it was so heartwarming when Celestia and Luna made up. Great episode.

3. The Ticket Master - Average

I liked this one. It was great to see all the Mane 6's fantasies of the Grand Galloping Gala, and how they all tried to butter her up for a ticket was funny, and so was the chase where Twilight and Spike kept finding places to hide from the mob of Ponyville ponies. I also liked how Twilight was willing to give up her own ticket so her friends wouldn't get left out, and I liked how Spike kept dissing the Gala but secretly wanted to go.

4. Applebuck Season - Average

Applebuck Season was OK. While I did feel rather sorry for Applejack, it was funny seeing her go all woozy and mess up all those things. The lesson was one of my favourites, too, how friendship is about accepting as much as giving. I also liked the "baked bads" gag.

5. Griffon the Brush Off - Good

This was one of my favourite Season 1 episodes. Seeing Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash pull all those pranks on the Mane 6 at the beginning was fantastic. I also loved how there was a hidden twist in it, how it was apparently Pinkie Pie behind all the pranks on Gilda, and then it actually turned out to be Rainbow Dash, and all the pranks hitting Gilda were just dumb luck. I absolutely love hidden twists like that.

6. Boast Busters - Average

Boast Busters was OK. Trixie was SUPER annoying, and it was cool seeing Applejack and Rainbow Dash try to one-up her. Snips and Snails were terrific, too, how they seemed to hero-worship Trixie, and went so far as to bring an Ursa Major to town. My favourite part was the bit at the end, when Twilight was scared that ponies would hate her for being talented, but they explained that she should be proud of her talents, and not hide them, because they are a part of who she is.

7. Dragonshy - Bad

Dragonshy was definitely one of the weaker episodes of Season 1. It didn't have much substance to it, and wasn't entertaining at all, so I never watched it more than once.

8. Look Before You Sleep - Bad

This one was OK in parts, but overall I don't really have much to say about it.

9. Bridle Gossip - Good

I liked Bridle Gossip a lot. Zecora was a terrific character, definitely one of my favourite Season 1 characters. I love how mysterious and eccentric she is, and how she always speaks in rhyming couplets. Seeing the Mane 6 get "poison joke-ified" was hilarious, especially when Fluttershy spoke in that deep voice, and how Spike came up with nicknames for them all. Pinkie Pie's song Evil Enchantress was absolute gold, too.

10. Swarm Of The Century - Average

This one was pretty interesting. The parasprites were adorable, and it was awesome how Pinkie Pie played all the instruments to get them away. When I first watched it, I thought Pinkie was just not being serious at all and just being typical Pinkie, while not seeming to care about the parasprite situation, but I regretted it after she revealed she was trying to save Ponyville. I also liked the bit when Twilight went crazy and hysterically suggested building a replica of Ponyville.

11. Winter Wrap Up - Average

Winter Wrap Up was pretty good, and I especially liked the song. Though it seemed a bit unfair that Twilight should have to work like an Earth pony when she is a unicorn, just because it's tradition. Traditions are super dumb, in my opinion. Though it was great seeing her be able to find her place in organizing and help them have the first on-schedule wrap-up in years.

12. Call of the Cutie - Average

This one was OK. Apple Bloom was so adorable in it, and seeing her make friends with Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo was great. It was fun seeing her try out all the different activities, and I liked the song Cupcakes. The lesson at the end, how being a blank flank doesn't make you less than in anyway, was great.

13. Fall Weather Friends - Average

I liked this episode. It was fun seeing Applejack and Rainbow Dash compete in all those different events, and Pinkie Pie's commentary was absolutely priceless. Although I will say Applejack was very out of character in the second half. Since when does Applejack ever cheat? She wouldn't even cheat to save her home, family and business from Flim and Flam, so she certainly wouldn't cheat in something as silly as a race. Rainbow Dash, I wouldn't put cheating past, but not Applejack. But overall, a good episode.

14. Suited for Success - Bad

This one I didn't like. Twilight and her friends were just such jerks to Rarity, making her work over and over again to get exactly what they wanted, and just acted so ungrateful towards her! I still don't get what their problem with the dresses she made for them in the first place was. They said at the end that the dresses were perfect, and the way they reacted to them at the beginning, was as if they were terrible. I did like the song Art of the Dress, and the dress montage at the end, but it was still a pretty bad episode.

15. Feeling Pinkie Keen - Good

This was one of my favourite Season 1 episodes. Pinkie Pie's Pinkie Sense was absolutely awesome, especially seeing what all the different signs meant, with twitchy tails and doozy shivers, and especially that clip where all the heavy objects fell on Twilight's head. Although I didn't like Twilight's behaviour at all. She is just such a jerk, what with gloating and being nasty and acting so relaxed and superior and calmly dismissive of Pinkie's intelligence, even though every single one of her predictions came true, and everypony else says Pinkie's Pinkie Sense is real. But overall, a great episode.

16. Sonic Rainboom - Good

This was a good episode, too. The sonic rainboom was awesome, and so were Rarity's wings. I didn't particularly like Rarity's insensitive behaviour, and her performance outfit was absolutely hideous, but the rest of the episode was great. It was fun seeing the parts of the weather factory, how the rainbows and snowflakes were made, and it was nice when the bullies apologized to Rainbow Dash at the end. Good episode.

17. Stare Master - Average

Stare Master wasn't a favourite. It was pretty average, and rather aggravating seeing the CMCs out-of-control behaviour, but Fluttershy's Stare was rather interesting, and so was the cockatrice. And it was funny seeing the CMCs argue over whether their special talent was arguing.

18. The Show Stoppers - Average

This one was alright. I liked seeing the CMCs make the chart and try out all of those things to get cutie marks. I also liked the song at the end. They were absolutely terrible, obviously, but it was cute how bad and oblivious they were.

19. A Dog and Pony Show - Average

Funny episode. Seeing Rarity act so dramatic and whine and cry into getting the dogs into doing what she wanted was hilarious. It was great how fake she acted, what with the pitiful digging, and the whining. "I am not whining, I am complaining. This is whining." That was definitely my favourite line. I also liked Spike's fantasy, and Pinkie's line "Holy moly, that's a lotta holeys!"

20. Green Isn't Your Color - Average

Very aggravating and tense episode, but still OK. Photo Finish was a great character, and seeing Fluttershy and Rarity make up at the end was my favourite part. Although all throughout the episode, I was just clenching my fist thinking "Holy guacamole, Twilight, are you really that DIM!?" She seriously didn't know that you're not supposed to keep secrets when the ponies are both thinking the opposite of the truth, and Pinkie Pie didn't help either. But an OK episode.

21. Over a Barrel - Average

This one was OK. Braeburn and Little Strongheart were great characters, and it was adorable how Applejack named the tree Bloomberg and treated it like she was its mother. Pinkie's song was hilarious, too, and it was funny how the buffalo leader and the sheriff said they had come to an agreement, but it was actually just that they hated Pinkie's song.

22. A Bird in the Hoof - Bad

This episode didn't have any substance to it, and Twilight behaved rather ridiculously in it, although it was funny seeing Rainbow Dash try to make the guards move.

23. The Cutie Mark Chronicles - Excellent

I liked this one a lot. It had next to no filler footage at all, and it was great learning the Mane 6's backstories of how they got their cutie marks, and how Rainbow Dash's sonic rainboom connected them all. It was very cute seeing young Pinkie Pie's mane puff up, too, and it was adorable seeing Applejack talk like Rarity.

24. Owl's Well That Ends Well - Average

This one I didn't like much, but was OK in parts. Owlowiscious was rather cute, as I like owls, but one thing I couldn't stand about the episode was how insensitive Twilight was. I can't stand how they made it out that Spike was the one in the wrong. I don't really think anyone could blame him for what he did. Everyone treats some owl with the same love and affection as he was, how the heck could he not feel replaced!? And Twilight took him for granted! All throughout the episode, she does nothing but cheerfully rub in Spike's face what a great assistant Owlowiscious is, giving no appreciation for his hard work, and completely fails to notice that he is feeling replaced and abandoned and neglected. She led Spike to believe she did not love him anymore, and I still can't believe it took him running away from home to get her to realize she was hurting his feelings. I also wanted to give Rarity a knock over the head for giving Owlowiscious the exact same bow tie as Spike.

25. Party of One - Average

This one was funny. I loved Pinkie's singing telegram at the beginning, and Gummy's birthday party was cute. I also liked Pinkie's detective skills, and how she went crazy, making imaginary friends and making them talk.

26. The Best Night Ever - Excellent

The Best Night Ever was my favourite Season 1 episode. I loved everything about it, what with the Mane 6's separate stories, and how they expected it to be amazing, but all their expectations were crushed, and everything turned into a disaster at the end. I loved the song At the Gala, and Pinkie Pie singing Pony Pokey. My favourite of the Mane 6's stories was Rarity's. Prince Blueblood was a detestable character, how he treated Rarity liked a servant and was so stuck-up, and it was awesome when Rarity yelled at him and covered him in cake. "YOU, sir, are the most UN-charming prince I have EVER met! In fact the only thing ROYAL about you is that you are a royal PAIN!" Priceless. The glass slipper was funny, too.
