This photo of the set of three is my favorite. The simple arrangement of leaves resting on that bed of moss.... tremendous composition. I can feel the softness of the moss in my mind. I can smell the cool wet air, and I can taste the organic smell of leaves beginning their transition back to dark rich humus. I know we are deep in the forest from the out-of-focus trees in the background...
This photo, to me, reminds me so much of growing up in Washington State. It brings back memories I thoroughly enjoyed, pleasant, fun memories. It delivers not only sight, but feel, taste, smell, sound... I haven't seen to many photos that deliver the range of senses to the table like this one does...

The background is actually a reflection from water. This is my first square photo.
I got chills when I read that it reminds you from your memories! If my art does that to someone it is the greatest pleasure for me and the most precious thing that I can possibly deliver through my photos.

That is an achievement to do! I strive for that but often miss the target. I think you are much more in tune with that in your photos
