I love this show, but let me get something straight: before Eureka was born (developed?) the only way to communicate with a scrub-coral/corellian is to let it eat you? Is that the gist of it, or am I wrong? I did miss a few episodes, so mabey some one can clue me in.

I'd never heard of the show until I saw this. You inspired me to rent it. I just finished watching volume 1, and I must say I was pleasantly surprised. It's hard to find good anime these days...
