Your black and white shading is quite your strength! I think the iridescent scales appeals to your painterly style. Great lighting, especially with her hair liquidating into the black. It might be just me, but her facial structure is very Natalie-Portman esque!

Oh nice, very smart! She is sincerely one of my favorite actresses, so I wasn't sure if I was stretching to make that connection! Shiver's personality (and fishiness) is what strikes me first. Beautifully painted!

MAN this is so pretty *w* Great work on all the planes of his face, he looks so... 3D like he's going to pop out of the screen and nibble on me. The mouth and nose area is especially great and I adore how the tips of his widdle teeth are visible <3 Awesome work!
Okay so I tried to figure this out: iridescence is the property of a surface to appear in different hues depending on the angle of the light. So I just used more hues, kind of randomly scribbling them around like this:

A whole rainbow went into this x3 I guess you could just add more colors to the highlighted scales, such as on his shoulder and cheekbone. The rest could just have some vague hints of purple or yellow or something. I dunno if this is the effect you were looking for, but there ya go o3o

About the scale thingers - I can definitely tell they're iridescent on the arm, but not so much on the face. I do like the subtle rainbow-yness of it tho' .u.
