I actually watched the Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya simply because people were asking about the title of my Crisis Core doujinshi (SOS Brigade, a complete coincidence) and I wanted to see what all the fuss was about.
It was some pretty trippy stuff. Then again, my first anime was Evangelion, and it's hard to compete with that in trippiness.
I draw things because they entertain me. And this has had me in fits of laughter all day. (Count your blessings: at least they aren't wearing those school uniforms. Oh wait...)
I considered switching Zack and Cloud with Angeal and Genesis' positions, but I wanted Cloud to have Kyon's magnificent "WTF" expression.

I've done it with my friends at an anime convention. It was funny cuz my boyfriend had to do it to. I think people still have pictures for blackmail from that.

Hmm well, I like yaoi but I can't say there are really any pairings from FF7 alone that I'm into. Unless you count Crisis Core, I like Genesis/Sephiroth, but that's the only one I really ship.

Aww, I wish The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya wouldn't get all this hate because it's now gotten popular. It makes me feel like a sellout for liking it, but it's been one of my favorite anime series since it first came out like, two years ago. Ah well, I like what I like, I guess.

The problem with certain popular series is that there's a reason they're popular--they're good. So unfortunately, with that comes the whole "oh, people just like it because it's popular" accusation, and it's like, can't we just like it because it' s good?
So yeah, I understand what you're saying...-_- It's like how people scoff at me for getting into FF7 7 years after the fact, and I'm like "you know what? I have a right to enjoy it just like everyone else." So don't let anyone tell you otherwise. : )

But it's an interesting game with compelling characters. I won't argue that it's the best game ever made or anything silly like that, but I enjoyed it and that's all I can really say.

It's...interesting, to say the least. I had a few friends who dismissed it as one of "those popular animes" but honestly...things are popular for a reason, right? Anyway, strange show, not for everyone, but damn if the songs aren't catchy. XD
It might be the fact that Haruhi herself kinda scares me, but the idea of Sephiroth smiling like that kinda...XD I like it when he smiles...normally, tho. lol.

For some reason, Cloud and Zack remind me of the last panel toward this comic from Least I Could Do's page.
It's amazing how strangely in-character all of them are, from the grinning Zack, to the "just what in Hellfire am I doing?" Cloud. So in-character...it's all the more funny. XD
Though, I think Genesis may have his hands a little far apart; that, or he has an amazing sense of balance in his wrists...!
It's a good laugh, just what the doctor ordered. XD

Cloud's expression is slightly off from the original but I guess it works. XD And the lineart was hard...working with pen, which is not my favorite medium (less forgiving on mistakes) and trying to copy difficult poses (perspective! *_* ) made not everything work out quite right...but hopefully if I ever redo this with a new tablet, I can fix those things. >.<
It was mostly done for laughs, though, so I guess I succeeded. XD (the real laughs are for those who are familiar with the show...)

Still, the coloring job is rather nice.
I have the same thoughts about my pen and the old keyboard these days, when it comes to my writing - pen gets filthy on paper if you ever mess up, but keyboards come with a "backspace" and a "del". XD
