It's the best DLC, most people agree. I'm not sure about tips, but bring ammo, because I think some people ran out and said there wasn't a lot to restock them with. And if you have crashing issues, you might want to stop fast travelling.
Just enjoy it, you get a really awesome player house and the dialogue is fantastic.
