Problems with this design.
1. there is a gap between the cylinder and the barrel.
2. This would suck on the field of battle, honestly. The future is MAGAZINE FED WEAPONS

It's just for fun anyway

interesting concept, it would be pretty cool, but do you think it would need special subsonic ammo or could it just use regular ammo?

I'm not sure, but don't all handguns use sub-sonic?

Do they all? I thought it was just the semi-autos, but is it the same with revolvers?

I believe so, though I can't seem to find any proof of this on wikipedia (or anywhere for that matter).

The larger rounds <.45ACP/.455Webly are usually Subsonic, most small and medium caliber weapons >.40 and so are usually supersonic (or very close) the 9mm for example is decidedly supersonic.

Suppressed revolvers have and do exists, the Russian Nagant due to its unusual means of sealing the chamber to the barrel by pushing the chamber forward onto it allowed for it to be used as a silenced weapon during WWII (and through the cold war). Knights Armament Company also produced a suppressed revolver in the 70-80's through a similar means IIRC. All require Subsonic ammunition for best performance though.

On the Image; very nice as always, the cylinder seems a bit large for the shown emergent barrel, but thats only assuming its 6-7 shots if tis more than disregard that.

That's interesting to know, I wasn't aware that any handgun round went supersonic. I've heard a little about the Nagant, too, it's quite an interesting concept.

I'll probably revisit this idea sometime in the future
