Description I hope you're able to see what the "concept"of my drawing is. It's basicly Tom looking in the mirror but his reflection shows Dickie. If you've seen the movie, I think you'll understand (Though I might have misunderstood the movie since I was like 10 when I saw it)
Not sure if I should put this in surreal or fan-art catagory..

HUGE EDIT: I re-drew Dickie and it looks a lot better (see the WIP for the previous one). After three times I finally could do it. I still think it doesn't look like Jude Law/Dickie that much, but I'm glad it doesn't look like how it used to

Tom looks absolutely wonderful, so that certainly shows off your awesome skill! Drawing small faces really is difficult and something I'm also still struggling with myself as well. Practice, practice, practice is definitely the way to go.

Thank you! I definitly need to practice men and miniatures. Somehow it's easier for me to draw women than men I may redraw dickie soon

I make it a point to alternate between the two (if at all possible), just to keep practicing both. It provides a nice change too, because for example skin of males and females require such a different approach, and also because you want the females to look pretty most of the time and with men wrinkles are totally required!

Indeed they are very diffrent. I love to draw very smooth skin but that's nearly impossible when drawing men men and their wrinkles and scruffy beards!

Ah but that poses a nice challenge, too!
Actually, nowadays, drawing woman sometimes bores me, because they are so (Photshopped) perfect. Smooth skin is nice to draw, but sometimes jawn-inducing.

Yes indeed it is It's a lot easier to draw those clean photoshopped photogaphs than raw ones or however it's called

The concept is interesting. Tom Ripley's face is nice, but I agree with your comment about Dicky. I think the whole work will look better if you just erase him from the mirror. Thanks for joining my contest. Good luck

Thank you I considered using another reference for dickie, but I can't erase it to white anymore because I pressed a bit hard at some places The drawing would also feel pointless to me without dickie in it, but thanks for the advice!
