Description It's a face only a mother could love. The teeth are few and far between, literally, and the rear-most teeth were enlarged and expanded at the base; the morphology has been used to suggest it cracked shellfish and clams/oysters, and the upturned snout was narrowed into a set of "pincers" for prying open shells. The restoration of the head shows the tips of the beak curved so that the jaws did not close in the rear, but this is based on the original skull, and is unlikely to actually be accurate; the skull drawing above it is "corrected" and allow the tips to touch as well as the teeth.
