Description All the combaticons being up to no good! 8D
Don't really know what to say here. Wanted to draw Swindle again (trying to make him some justice). Wanted to draw him climbing. Wanted to draw some more climbing bots ... So I added Brawl and Onslaught. And just poked in Blastoff (who's too cool for climbing) and Vortex (who's too cool for his robot mode) so the whole team would be there.

Reference from [link] [link] and [link] ... you can tell I like his stock images. xD It was really fun to paint them climbing.. and after I saw Blade Runner I really wanted to draw some sci-fi-buildings. Failed pretty much but whatever.

Watercolors (slaughtered by the scanner) and lot of ink. Pretty happy with the shading, but it looks better in the original.

Men inte bra nog! Men tack i alla fall. 8D Och gör det du, akvarell är verkligen härligt att jobba med. (önskar bara att det var lite mer täckande ibland).

Collab? Tja ... kanske. När skolan har börjat lugna ner sig. Jag har knappt tid att rita själv.

Oh wow I just can't express how much I love the effect you're going for here. Really nice and detailed! The grittiness suits the Combaticons just nicely

Oh, thanks a lot. I was afraid that the grittiness ruined the picture (it was the scanner that did it ... the original is a bit cleaner). But I'm glad someone liked it. Thanks again.

good group pic. the water colour really makes it look gritty

As I just said, the original is cleaner. The scanner enjoys to make pictures .. kinda grainy. Anyway. Thanks a lot. :3

oh actually i thought the grittyness of it looked good. considering its set in a dirty run down city, you'd expect it too look a little worn.

Yeah, I know. I did try to make it a biiit gritty but still ... anyway. I suppose the extra grittyness was good if it makes it resemble more of a run down city (it was what I wanted to paint). xD

I almost can't express how truly amazed I am by the progress you are making with your recent drawings. I guess you must always have had the sense of (water)colours (otherwise your colour jobs wouldn't be so vivid and exquisitely dark at the same time), but using drawing references seems to be the secret ingredient to your art recipe that really makes the difference. Great stuff as always!

Wow, thanks a lot. I'm really glad to hear that. But to be honest, I do mess around wiht my pictures a bit ... usually raise the contrast a bit (otherwise it wouldn't be as vivid and exquisitely dark xP). But yes ... I shouldn't deny the fact that I'm quite okay with colors.
And yes, I've come to love references! I'm not really that good at drawing, especially not advanced poses, which I still love to draw. I think references gives me a lot of good practice too. :3 Thanks a lot again.

I think it worth "messing around" a bit with the contrast if that's what it becomes!
Usually, I use Adobe PS to fix some "mistakes" (mostly blots, etc.) that happen when working with watercolours, but I've noticed that scanners have the tendency to "eat" the "good" colours anyway and leave you with pinky skin tones, etc.

Yeah, tell me all about it. I hate my scanner for it. And as I've said three times today, it allways makes the colors grainy (usually disappears when I make the picture smaller, but still). Dx
