Coolest holiday ever. Sadly it's poorly celebrated here in sweden. :c
Happy b-day, Daisya!!!
Though.. I think this picture is as much for me as it is for him.... and why the hell do I put more work into a gift for a fictional character than a friend? o__O Anywaaaay. Enjoy.
It was fun to do. Even though Daisya looks like a chinese. ;___; And, no. I didn't dress him up in that way cuz of Tyki. This clothing.. is more similiar to the one I gave another character of mine.. and I fell in love with his outfit so I neeeeded to draw it. Makes Daisya look at least a little more mature, ne?

The chains and the streetlamp seems to be part of Daisya already... 
I really like the atmosphere, so simple but truly effective!

Btw, talking about streetlamps... I finally have found the square where Hoshino took her inspiration for THE square... Well, it's not exactly the same thing cos she has mixed the gothic part of the city and the Eixample (where I live) and Modernism... all in that place, but I can recognize Plaça Sant Jaume... a little bit. The atmosphere is the same, believe me... The streetlamps around and that kind of "patio" look, and the building too... There's no other place like that in Barcelona so I think it's that one.
I felt shivers down my spine... and specially because it's a very popular square where I have been SO many times before, but without paying attention... obviously (although that square was the first thing that came to my mind when I saw the scene in the manga... But it was not exactly, so I forgot it). But Saurien and I took the manga and start searching xD it was funny... and we found the exact square doesn't exist... but does the inspiration... That square... Or at least, what I think Hoshino saw before drawing it... Or... anyway, it reminds me the place! And maybe it's just my imagination, but I think this is the most important

Yes... it's the atmosphere, something in the air... and the estructure, streetlamps and building... but above all, the atmosphere.
Yes, indeed, feel free to say we have so much free time xD We don't have it, but we use it to do this kind of magical things... (I feel this is magical..., specially when the carillon bells started sounding so suddenly and loud! It was like...wow, what's this!!!).
When you'll come to Barcelona (sometime I hope) that (and the military store) will be the first I'll show you!!
