Allow me to introduce you to the Pacific mastodon (Mammut pacificus), as we see our lone male Pacific mastodon wonders off on its own in search of a new herd. Alongside with him is a Cedar waxwing to keep him company. It sure is a huge stage in a proboscidean's life. This completely new species of mastodon, which has recently had its fossils being discovered in 2019, used to roam the cold wilderness of what's now California and southern Idaho. They differ from the eastern population of mastodons by having more narrower molars, thicker femurs, and an absence of mandibular tusks. Hope you guys enjoy this drawing.
