Incredible shot! The focus is bang on and the composition brilliant. This can only be Bramble, Stonham's star kestral he's ace, none of my shots of him turned out very nice though!

I always try when then fly Bramble because he is such a good hoverer that's probably the only time I'm going to get a sharp 'bird in flight' shot!

I'm pretty sure its him because he was missing one of his tail feathers throughout 2009! Hopefully it will grow back in this years moult

quaddie In reply to cycoze [2009-09-27 21:05:44 +0000 UTC]

Is it interesting then?.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

cycoze In reply to quaddie [2009-09-27 21:41:00 +0000 UTC]

Yes I think it is interesting, once a bird is trained to fly to the glove you have it fly to you then hide the glove at the last moment causing the bird to pause if you like, a kind of mini hover, you can then start throwing titbits for it to catch as it approaches you and again this may cause it to hover, it is then hoped eventually that the bird will learn to hover when the glove is hidden from view in the hope it will be rewarded.

My Wife has loved doing the week long course and hopes to dosome more.

Yes she had a wonderful week, the Falconer said he was willing to mentor her when she decides to get a bird, I popped round to see him today regards some photography, very nice chap, learnt a lot from him in a couple of hours and he is happy for me to go out with him when he flies his birds so I can try and get some shots for the pair of us.
