So tender and gentle.
Nice touch on the scars the the flesh grafts on JeanΒ΄s back.
Also, the colors are amazing.

I just had to comment on this. It's absolutely stunning. The subtle use of colour really works here.

Cool! I've never come across a series with such cool female characters. Seriously they're all just so kickass. For some reason, I took a partial liking to Ophelia, the mentally unstable one. But there's something so pretty about her Yoma form, the Lamia, a serpent from Greek myth. I've probably said something like this before, but your art style and the proportions you use really remind me of roman sculpture. It really goes well with the medieval Scandinavian thing that Claymore has going for it. I've never thought for a second about Clare/Jean, but that's because I was too busy fawning over Deneve/Helen. The great thing about Claymore, besides the amazing plot, kickass fight scenes, and gory and beautiful art is that there are just so many girls that you can ship together because of the strong bonds many of them forge through combat. Sighs. Is it wrong that I want them all for myself? They need to make more anime like this. Or hurry up and give me a fourth season of Maria-sama ga Miteru.

Hey! I'm glad to see you're into this series, too.
I completely agree--I've seen a few other shonen series with mostly female casts, but this one's really head and shoulders over them. The art style's a lot classier, and not so ~*~moe~*~, and so the women both look and act a lot stronger than most such series will allow them to. The main seven women at this point in the story are just so cool--I love the band-of-renegades against the world thing they've got going. It's like the Magnificent Seven or Seven Samurai or the Three Musketeers, all for one and one for all!
Ophelia was great; I also really love Galatea--the series seems to love killing off its characters, so that last fight in the manga had me very worried about her. And Miata and Clarice are so weird, but I'm kind of attached to both of them as well.
Hee--yes, and Helen and Deneve are so married. I guess Jean and Clare really got to me with the two nearly-awakening scenes they had together, too--really, though, I ship Clare with nearly everyone.
(You know, I think I never saw the -third- season of Marimite--I really should, but I didn't realize until very recently that a third season even existed.)

It wasn't what the bandits SAW when Tersa took off her clothes... They probably must've been gay... (not that there's anything wrong with being gay).

Yeah, minus Rig (the one who made a rape attempt at Teresa). But hey, he got owned by a little girl with a stick (Clare). XD

Fantastic!!
that's a pretty neat idea... I got the impression from the manga that most of them looked fairly 'normal' except for some area of the lower torso/abdomen, but it's never made clear. (at least Clare looks normal from behind as we see her bathing during the bit with Irene!) I really like how you did the monster body on Jean, though.
love JeanxClare :3

Yeah, that was pretty touching/tragic in the manga. I love Jean.
And I'd never thought of that, but it's possible she could have made it look worse, I guess. At some point Rubel asks Clare what Raki would think about her if he knew that her body was deformed, or something. So supposedly they have some kind of difference that is never explained. (I interpreted it as a really grotesque scar with some Youma-like tissue and features extending out of it, but that was just my idea) [link] -- the basic idea, but too small to really show the details I imagined.

Oooh, nice! Well, that I could definitely see--especially if you figure it's nothing all that complicated that they do to mix human and monster, they just stuff monster flesh into an open wound and the two mix together as it heals or something--it's a medieval sort of world, after all.

CLAYMORE!!! Dude, that series does not get nearly enough fanart. D: AND IT DESERVES IT.
Heehee, nice work, too. The colour scheme works quite well.

IT REALLY DOESN'T. There doesn't seem to be much of a fandom for it either, and it's such a neat series!
