Description

After the USS Zenterprise, NCC-1771-E was decomissioned in 2400. The USS Zenterprise, NCC-1771-B which served in the Dominion War as the USS Retinue, NCC-77139 alongside the Zenterprise-D; as she was to be brought out the mothballs and to be completely rebuilt to the Nexcelsior Class Refit specification, whilst retaining her heavy phasers when she was first refitted, but now capable of firing a longer lasting phaser blast, which can be adapted for certain situations.

The Nexcelsior Zenterprise-B entered service in August of 2401.

The newly refitted Zenterpise was to meet up with the also newly rebuilt USS Hood, NCC-42296-A which now was a Neo-Nexclesior, as they needed to meet up about the encounter of the dormant Borg Cube that they encountered; they decided ultimately to meet up with the Voyager-B to discuss more about this Cube.

In 2403, the Nexcelsior Zenterprise-B was on patrol duty within the Badlands, when the USS Destiny's End, NCC-5901-E reported that another Nexcelsior-type ship was detected on a wide Sensor scan, but the energy signiture this Nexcelsior had wasn't exactly 'right' in layman's terms; so the Destiny's End-E went under cloak to observe this 'Nexcelsior' from a safe distance. When they approached this 'Nexcelsior', it's hull plating was lighter, the bussard collectors were blue instead red, and some very distint yellow markings. The Destiny's End-E then made haste back to the Zenterprise-B to report this new ship they have built that had jumped over, the Zenterprise-B and the Destiny's End-E then went to warp to DS9 to raise the alarm of their return to the Badlands.
