That's such a nice thing to say.
Mostly of my knowledge though comes from experience... and hours of binge watching art tutorials. Mostly art tutorials.
Well, if you like to, you could ask some questions and I'd be happy to answer them.
However, I still suck at drawing though.

Admittedly, I don't know much about water colour. I never used it much on Photoshop. Maybe I'll try that out sometime.
As for background tips, here's my general rule of thumb:
*The subject must stand out from the background.
For landscape and scenery, the entire image is the subject, so not much.
For images with foreground subjects, you could try different colors, desaturation, a vignette, anything that separates the subject from the background.
Clarification here, you could actually make the subject blend with the background but it has a different way to make it work that I haven't quite understood yet. But I have a feeling has something more to do with composition.
