Question time! Who watches RWBY?

For those who don’t, RWBY is a 3D animated series made by Monty Oum. Which can be viewed at either the RoosterTeeth website or in YouTube. The reason why I brought it up is because of its poster. You can check it out through this link: fav.me/d5kjod7
The Art Style
I assume you already know where this is going…

The art style is based on the RWBY poster. Basically, the main subject is turned into a silhouette with certain features highlighted by a certain color. For the RWBY poster, it’s the characters’ hair but for my deviations I generalized it to any prominent features. Another difference is that for RWBY, the hair and the background have similar colors but Xerneas specifically, I had to break that rule. In my opinion, the yellow-blue contrast worked a lot better.

My Thoughts on this Work
In short, it’s eh...
The first picture I make is always where I play around with the art style and let my creativity run wild. However, this didn’t really happen for Xerneas. When I opened Photoshop, I knew what I wanted to do and done it. This was good on an efficiency standpoint but I didn’t really invest much emotion into this. I think I did a job well done but I’m didn’t really impress myself much.
