thank you very much! I've always admired how J.K. Rowling can have such animated characters - and I'm very glad to hear such an interpretation!

I think you've managed to get as close as possible to capturing her creativity... That sense of extraordinary imagination, seeping through every page. Great, great work!

I used to alwys paint with watercolour but I'm so out of the habit now I struggle to use it, when used properly it is lovely I like the way it seeps into the paper and like to let it bleed abit , love using inks for this reason also, though I'd need to spend much more time using them to be any good with it, the beauty of acrylic, is that it is easily repainted when a mistake is made, which I do often

I love the colors and it's a very recognizable portrait!

thank you very much! I'm glad to hear it is recognizable, I was a little worried it wouldnt be! Especially without J.K. plastered into the title!

Very cool! This is the first HP art I've seen that focuses on Rowling herself.

thank you! Yes i thought the same - I was in the mood for watercolour last night, and thought of doing a Hermione piece - but then thought, why not do something that isnt fan art for once (ive done heaps of potter fan art myself, you see). Glad you like it, and thanks for commenting!

thank you very much! And I very much agree - I've done so much Harry Potter fan art that it is an insult to not do the genius behind it! She is a very talented woman.

I've read one of the biographies, and saw the oprah special a while ago. I think its wonderful how she can make such creative creatures and plots out of abstract emotions.

Oh, I saw the Oprah special as well. I'm glad that Michael Jackson/HP musical thing never happend!
If you ever get the chance, watch "A Year in Life". It's a 40min documentary which follows Jo during the writing and publishing process of Deathly Hallows. The basically film her everywhere, at home, on the plane, ect. and made some really good interviews with her. It's the most "private" thing I've seen of her.

Oh wow, that sounds very interesting! Especially because it interviews her between her creative stages rather than after - when things are not set in concrete! I'll be sure to check it out, thanks for the recommendation!
