Description
This is the sister image of this pic (they are supposed to be staring at each other):Meet Rain's wife, Myrashe, or 'Meadow with flowers, surrounded by pine trees', because you puny humans are not allowed to use the Elven language, not even the names
So 'Meadow' for short. Do all elves have silly names like that? No... but most of them do. The silver hair is also a trait most of them have, if not all, but it has a magical cause. I might have said different things in the past, so please erase that from your memory.I haven't written about Meadow yet, so maybe she will end up differently in the story. I didn't expect her to be so frail and fairy-like, but I think I like it. I can use more characters that are elegant. I think Rain and Meadow have been together for quite some time (again, this might change) and that they truly love each other. Elves don't marry though, and only stay together for one reason: producing children. And that's something those two fail at. So according to Elven culture, the two should split up, and try their luck with a different partner. They belong together according to their hearts, but according to everything else, they should split up - kinda like these drawings: they fit each other, but they are still two separate drawings.
Hmm... can you tell I copied pretty much everything from the Rain pic? I altered that tree, the background and the hill she's standing on, but I didn't start from nothing. Because I'm lazy. Meadow herself was newly drawn though

Sure I can. It mainly boils down to their low numbers, but I can't pinpoint one cause.
- Elves live in natural areas, which are getting rare, thanks to humans. This also caused fights between the two races, to make it worse. Elves are magically sublime, but humans have greater numbers and have better weapons, so the elves suffer greatly from casualties.
- They aren't very flexible in their way of thinking... if humans encounter a problem they cannot solve, they will adjust to it or find a solution. Elves try to keep things the old way, so instead of fleeing or reasoning with humans, they try to keep their ground.
- Elves are magically awesome because they do not allow non-magical elves in their communities. Magic is hereditary, so if you focus on strong, magical bloodlines, you get lots of sorcerers. However, having only a few bloodlines also makes the genepool small.
- Elves live for a long time, so they don't need to be as fertile as humans. They can get children once every few years or so. That only keeps numbers up of their community if the elf will reach a high age, and with the humans being so unkind to them lately, quite some of them die without having had children.

Soo... Due to their rigidness, they're not just shooting themselves in the foot, they're blowing their legs off. Oh dear. This means they're gonna die out soon, and I don't like that! Well, little Morgy who's become a victim of my facial expression studies, she's perfect for super expressive emotions, and Orion has been helpful in epic cape flapping and such. He and Xavier were also complaining about various pitfalls in world domination (or country domination) caused by arrogance. And then they fight because Xavier kinda hates Orion.

I do wonder now how it will end up. Who will win the fight in anyways? Xavier cannot die and he has built up incredible resilince, so much so he can keep on fighting with one arm burnt down to the bone and with a broken leg. (Limp limpy) And from what I understand, Orion is also not meeting death anytime soon.
Oh most definitely, epic fights with swords and majestic hair and super awesome capes.

Can you please draw that? I would love to see a guy trying to lift a sword (or whatever his weapon of choice is) while one arm is pretty much all that is left omf him XD. You can temporarily 'kill' Orion, so if the fight comes with some sort of time limit, Xavier will win. Actually, I think Orion will let himself get stabbed on purpose, only to jump back to life the next day with a big grin on his face, saying 'you failed. Please try again.'.
*stares at Morgan* mwhaha, that face with when she shot the mushroom, it's perfect! I love all the sketches, but that mushroom one made me snort up my drink through my nose XD Totally worth it, I'm still laughing!
Not at all. Then again, I haven't written a single thing about elves yet, so maybe I come up with some sort of a hobby for them as I write along. I do try to keep them as cultureless as possible without making it unrealistic. Looking forward to it

yeah, they have a culture in the meaning of 'something that binds a people and makes them stand out as a group', but they stand out because they aren't doing much that falls under cultural heritage. They are so weird.

They are mostly against difference, I would say. They have this idea of what a living creature needs to be able to live, everything else gets ignored by them. Humans need some kind of interaction with each other to be happy, plus they get bored easily I guess. Elves are not like that at all, so all they need is food and sleep. Doesn't sound that bad, actually.

cat tails always grow during/after puberty - or at least, I've been told that's the moment men begin to grow fur, so why not a tail as well?

'You know, Morgan - one of my friends - had clothes that did something similar [keeping you warm],' Lienne said. 'I think I like this more though. It has flowers and… My Goddess, is that a bug?!' She stuck out her arm, so far it almost detached from her own torso.
Rain sighed. 'The bug is probably more scared of you.'
'I'm not scared! I'm just not used to find living things in my clothes.'
'You were fine with the flowers.'
'Eh, yes. You got a point there.'
He frowned. 'We don't have a point.' The only potentially pointy object he carried was his branch, but she couldn't mean that. It wasn't even shaped into a spear at the moment. [this probably doesn't make a lot of sense without context...]
Lienne's eyebrows furrowed together as well, but arched up a heartbeat later. 'Oh, you don't need to take that literally!'
'If it is not what you meant, why did you say it?'
'Because… I don't know. It doesn't make sense indeed, when you think of it.'

The problem with the elves is that they are becoming a rather small group and begin to suffer from all kinds of inbred problems. Infertility/lower fertility is one of them, but I don't know weather Myrashe or Rain (or both) suffers from it. Anyway, they aren't the only ones with that problem, making healthy elven kids rare, so adoption is rather problematic too...
