That's such a nice scene, makes me slightly sad there isn't any snippet. ^^ Like that blurry effect a lot, perspective and tilted angle create great effect as well. The colours are so lovely in harmony, it's just pealising to look at all the green, blue, purple mix. I don't remember hearing of Rain's tail, cool! And don't worry, the bubbles, water and foreshortening can lie about the true size. This is probably one of the most inspiring works I've seen from you thus far, definitely one of my favourites! Would be so nice to see this turn into a chapter illustration art, at least.

I love that tail of his! If it weren't so heavy out of water, I imagine it could be a powerful weapon to swing around and knock someone over haha

aaawh, that's such a great thing to hear! Go Rain+Meadow, make humans happy - even though you two aren't very fond of humans :')

Popping out of the bushes, giving them a thumbs up. And popping back down.

Pretty cool. What brushes do you use to make the paint strokes look like that?

thanks! and that's a hard one... I've gathered brushes with a natural/grungy texture over the years to make my own set. Some come from Adobe's own natural brushes sets, a few from BRUSHES and from the lazy brush set , but I think the one you see the most here is this one (also from the lazy brush set): The Awesome Texture Brush .

Hmmm, that's one glorious tail. (And glorious perspective! It comes across really well.)

thanks! haha, I can almost see Rain polishing the tail's scales every day to a perfect shine, using only a leaf (which is why he has to do it every day, it's not very effective).
