Everyone has their custom Vans, but like if you fuck up, youre out like what? 30 bucks? Which is why I think Michaels cleverly sells these "blank canvas" shoes with fabric markers and shit. Though most people who do them are like campers who write their names in glitter on them, and like dot their "i"s with butterflies or something lame. Or like cheerleading megaphones. God do they even use those anymore?Anyway. Burton-esque shoes.
Acrylics, fabric markers and the constant inspiration that you were raised by wolves and you dont know yet. Yes, you. Your parents found you in the woods.

How did you start out? with a blank shoe or did you just paint over the design on the shoe? I've been trying to figure out how people do this for forever! by the way these look awesome!

Thanks, I started with blank canvas shoes. I used watered-down acrylic paint and permanent micron pens to paint on the design.

Yup! They had a bunch of blank accessories, like hats, tote bags and such. They have them again this year for summer. Thank you! I loved how they turned out. And I'm a big TNBC fan too, but you know, relatively average in stature

that's a wicked design. I just got my own pair of canvas shoes after searching forever for a cheap pair. I wanted to know, did you use a sealer or a protector before wearing them?

thanks! I used acrylics, and a Sakura Micron pen. I only LIGHTLY misted them with some hairspray and they NEVER ran or bled or anything!
