Eddie Valiant.Β

Oh, how I love Bob Hoskins!Β  One of the greatest actors of them all who can play anything and get away with it.Β

So very much agreed! I think of him whenever I catch one of his older movies on TV. Hopefully retirement has been helping him cope with Parkinson's.

Same here but I'm rather sad about it because he was talking about being Eddie Valiant again if there was ever to be a sequel of Roger Rabbit.

Really? That would be like - a dream come true for my childhood self. If a project like that was to pull through, perhaps they can still offer him a smaller, less-stressed role (like the kinds that Michael J. Fox has played over the last decade or so).

You got it! I haven't seen it in YEARS. Wish they'd play it on TV sometime (it was a pain trying to find decent screen captures to reference for the outfit).

JewelHarmony In reply to Quills07 [2013-01-10 22:02:08 +0000 UTC]

Ya, it's definitely an underated movie. Though it does in some ways destroy cartoons for you. o.O

Quills07 In reply to JewelHarmony [2013-01-10 22:40:06 +0000 UTC]

Seriously. There were so many jokes that completely went over my head when I was little, and now I'm like, "D: Cartoons don't do that!" when I watch it.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

JewelHarmony In reply to Quills07 [2013-01-11 22:55:17 +0000 UTC]

Seriously! But they do that in a lot of cartoons. That's what makes are childhoods awesome!

So true! I think a lot of the best cartoons are the ones we can watch and enjoy even when we're older.

Ditto - I miss my old VHS tape! Although I hear there's a part III coming out by the author? I think the movie was based on a mix of the first two novels. Wonder if this means a movie sequel in the future?

Agreed! Michael J. Fox is another actor I've always admired, and it was the same with him.

Spartist95 In reply to Quills07 [2013-01-16 23:14:17 +0000 UTC]

I remember him in Casualties of War, that's one of his lesser known roles in regards to Marty McFly. He was great in that too.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Quills07 In reply to Spartist95 [2013-01-18 14:32:48 +0000 UTC]

Yes, I remember that! Bright Lights, Big City was another one of his more serious (and difficult to watch) roles. I thought he was impressive in both movies, although they weren't very popular.
