and Soul Eater has been eating my soul.
seriously. i'm on episode 39 and i'm soooo loving it.
naturally my favorite character would be Death the Kid. cause yanno. he's just awesome. and its hysterical that he's got that OCD/symmetry thing going XD;;
and he's voiced by Mamoru Miyano. need i say more?? <3
edit: oh damn; ring on his right hand is wrong. i'll change it if i'm not so lazy later...

I haven't read the manga or seen the anime, but the story does sound interesting and Death the Kid sounds almost like Mr. Monk - which is cool (I read the wikipedia article on Soul Eater).
I like the expression you've given him and his yellow eyes works really well. As you most likely know, I like sketchy artwork, so I think the squiggles are really cool and at the same time we can see how you came to the final result and maybe it can also function as smoke coming from the gun.
The perspective and pose must have been difficult, but you pull it off really well. He must have a killer aim and be really good at shooting, because I think it is really difficult to pull the trigger with your pinky. It makes the artwork interesting. 
So you're back at college? Do you like the classes?
Also, I sent your Christmas/New Year letter two days ago. It should arrive in two weeks time - sorry that it is so late!

haha, its a good show!! its about these kids in a school thats run by the Shinigami, Death, and its all about them collecting demonic souls to become stronger and such~
as for the genre... its definitely a fantasy/action anime X3
