The first (and only) child of Gilda & Garble. Blare is one of the first griffon/dragon hybrids to live in Equestria, and a mix of his type is a rare find. Gilda and Garble met in dragon territory, where they stayed together for quite some time. It wasn't long, though, before things started to fall apart and the two separated.

Blare's life as a hybrid isn't too tough, as he usually uses his size and strength to intimidate other people. While he has a more dragon-like body, he has bird-like wings, a feathered crest, and two bird legs. Due to his dragon heritage, He has a small "thumb" claw on each of his wings, withstand extremely high temperatures, and shoot small bursts of fire from his mouth.

Not surprisingly, Blare isn't the most social being in Equestria. He only has a small, tight-knit circle of friends. Those friends being Golden Glide, Autumn Belle, and, by extension, Robin.

GG and Blare met because of a series of studies done on hybrids by Princess Twilight, who was assisted by Discord and Spike. GG & Blare were only two of many hybrids that lived across Equestria, but they managed to bond with each other very quickly. Blare sees her as a bit of a big-sister figure.

Because of Gilda's friendship with Dash, Blare i friends Fluttershy's daughter, Autumn Belle. They have a healthy rivalry, and surprisingly touching moments with each other. Not that either of them would admit it.
