Following Caballeron & Ahuizotl's defeat at the hands (hooves?) of Daring Do, the two decided to stay close allies. Itzli here ended being born out of a desire to train a sort of "secret weapon" against Daring. While Caballeron did most of the parenting, Ahuizotl made sure to start training his little monster as soon as possible.

Itzli actually ended up losing their left arm in one of these training sessions; in an attempt to impress his father and prove that he was strong, Itzli tried to take on a Cragadile. But the attack only resulted in a lost limb and Ahuizotl losing whatever faith he had left for his son.

Not long after the incident, Itzli had found an old fur cape, with a magical pendant in the center. The pendant allows the wearer to control the size & shape of the fur cape. Itzli often uses this ability to abscond with all sorts of mysterious treasures, using it to create a giant pair of fighting fists and a set of wings.

Yet even without their cape, Itzli is a powerful fighter. Their back hooves pack quite a punch, especially when paired with their sharp claws. Even the hair-like spines at the end of their tail can be controlled and used like a hand.

Due to their lineage, Itzli grew up with a grand love for treasure and money. Often they'll do the dirty work of someone else if it meant they get paid a lot. Some of these odd jobs land Itzli in the quaint little town of Ponyville, where some of the most powerful ponies live; the Element Bearers and Princess Twilight Sparkle. However, Itzli has yet to make their lives difficult. Most of the time Anubis catches them before any lasting damage can be done.
