I love this pic so much!
One thing that really works is the sort of diagonal line of enthusiasm in the front going from Sweetie Belle's horrified look, to Rarity's "eh, not the first time and won't be the last time" expression, to their mom's joy at finding outfits that would be just perfect for her kids.
I wonder if Sweetie Belle is having sympathetic horror or if mom has just told them she found matching outfits for them.

I think it'd be fun to go clothes shopping with Rarity's mom though

Oh, wow, this is a amazing! I love the style here, and everything's so shiny and pretty! Very excellent work, I love the expressions! One thing is kinda bugging me, though. Rarity's mom is purple, as evidenced by her face and forelegs. But is she wearing a white bottom? I thought maybe it was Rarity's bottom half, but the tail doesn't match. She's probably just wearing pants and I'm making a mistake, but...anyway, this whole thing is just fantastic. Good luck!

Lol! Sweetie Belle is cringing at her mom's tastes! That REALLY can't be good, since she's not as fussy as her older sister. Are Rarity's dresses too fancy for her mom? SHould Raeirt just shop with Fleur de Lis instead?

It has to be horrendous if even Sweetie Belle is appalled by it.
Having her mother do her shopping is probably why Rarity strove so hard to become a fashionista.
