Description
Chennlak are a strange creatures of the small continent Xenoterra which is coated in RainForest and pocketed with caves and mountains. They are a partially arboreal species, clutching to trees when scared or hanging upside down to sleep.

Chennlak are very peaceful and spend most of their time hunting or farming, unfortunately they do not understand the concept of a lie and have been taken advantage of by other, more manipulative races. These races generally seek the drug plant called Laelah grown by the Chennlak as its very soothing and addicting. Chennlak can fight back though, they cant hold swords properly but they have a very mean punch, using speed and extremely hardy bones to enhance their attacks. Jumping from place to place is generally part of this. They're opposable feet can latch on to surfaces to allow easy climbing, or grab onto an opponents neck and break it. Head butting is also a viable and effective attack.

Chennlak have no gender, every member of the species can breed with each other and give birth to spores, small, light marble like eggs that can stay dormant for thousands of years till they plop into water. Generally a single parent will guard their spores in their spawn pool and assist in their development, the parent will usually die after weeks of not eating. The larval Chennlak will eat the adult and each one will have pieces of their parents memories. Because of this brothers and sisters are very close, though in some cases they will cannibalize each other to gain more memories. There is a taboo practice amongst tribes were the young are physically fused through magic into a single being to have the full memory of their parent. This is called Union and those united individuals will be outcasted by their tribe to walk alone in the forest, bulky and grotesque but very strong. These creatures are called Zussanen.

Chennlak speak through clicks, chirps, screeches, squawks, shreeks, hoots, and howls and some bio-luminescence to convey emotion. Their mouths simply arent built for complex English so speaking with other races can be difficult, especially m's and b's. Due to most of their only outside contact being sailors and pirates, they mistaken some words, ex. they think Whore means Mother. This causes issues.
