Description: Acrid is a cyborg powered by the kaiju muscle/skeletal/nervous system within its tubes and wires and titanium steel, and a human pilot within, driving the hybrid with his pain, rage, and memories. Acrid fights like a soldier, using his weight and speed to full advantage. The constant flow of green smoke from Acrid's vents can act as a smoke screen to allow for evasion.

Origin: The military has faced the kaiju menace for decades, losing massive amounts of their soldiers and equipment to the beast. Colonel Acre knew that all to well, he had lead many Kaiju Slayer squads to their demise. He remembered every name of those he lost, filling his old mind with much regret, sadness, and anger. Humanity had built mechs in the past to deal with kaiju, we even created kaiju of our own to do that, but the mechs were usually destroyed after some time of active duty and these engineered kaiju would commonly rampage and cause more damage than the enemy. Acre wanted something lasting and effective, with the tenacity of a kaiju but the tactics of a mech.

A hybrid of sorts was made, using a half dead yet powerful kaiju and the most advanced robotics of the time, Acres and his scientist had created a pilotable cyborg, the pilot being Acre himself. The Colonel was aware that he had more experience on the field then any other candidates, though his PTSD made it dangerous due to the neural melding tech required to pilot the Hybrid. He didnt care, this was his chance to get back on the field and face his enemy once again, though on more equal grounds.

Upon entering the cyborg and commencing the neural meld, Acre's could feel his being becoming one with it, his memories being shared with the kaiju part of the hybrid. Both shared a lust for vengeance, though Acre seemed to be more insane than the Kaiju itself with his hate. His mind became warped with rage and memories, recalling every lose in his life like it was happening right at that moment. Acre couldnt tell the difference from present to past and more, everything felt so real, and so painful. Soon only death and hate filled his mind, along with an old nickname he was constantly called by his friends, his long gone friends...Acrid.

Acrid would become his title, it was appropriate as the cyborg produced large clouds of thick toxic gases from its vent, a byproduct of the chemicals being pumped through the machine and its imprisoned kaiju body.
