Haven't quite beaten my playthrough of Dark Souls 3 yet, took a break at Pontiff! (Using Bandit's Knife & Brigand Twindaggers) I think it's weird how I didn't learn about the franchise until DS2 came out, I've always really enjoyed cranking up the difficulty level in singleplayer games. I'm also a fan of how the game is hard but fair, whereas a lot of other games feel difficult simply because you have to grind levels and there's no way to think or play around a challenge. Dark Souls games are child's play compared to monster Hunter games now that's a real challenge.

Played them both but monster hunter in my opinion is harder. You can dissagree though. I had fun playing both franchises though unlike somepeople who break their keyboards out of frustration.

I used to play Monster Hunter too but on PSP, and I must say that it's very hard even with a friend joining in a LAN party. Now, I admit I have never played Dark Souls before, but the gameplays I watched on YouTube suggest it might be just as hard as MH or even harder with some advanced bosses.

On hardest difficulty you die in one hit from anything.
Staying alive, much like in Dark Souls, is all about avoidance.

ds1 lagged the heck to hell get out on my 360 and everywhere else I played it. Well, mostly during scenes with fire. Or explosives. Which made certain parts very very unforgiving and I gave up on it. Hadn't played much of anything else.. Did beat blood born and supposedly got the "good end" though. Content now.Β
