Listen VERY closely... I NEVER said i owned centaurs or ANY variations of them. what i am trying to say is that it seems a bit ridiculous that you would pay $30 for something that is slightly changed. I am sorry that i came off as rude. P.s. i take the idea of owner ship of certain art piece very seriously. i do not own any of other ppls art at ALL.

Closed Species is the Artist's Design that is being owned. There's many articles out there explaining what Closed Species are.
Quisling fits the criteria. There's nothing wrong with Quisling doing these Stellar Children or using Centaurs as her base origin for her Closed Species.

No no, you're right in your statements. But you're not being quite fair with the situation or the artist.
What you meant though, is that, there's people out there selling a re-vamped or rendered version of an idea or product that has been created by someone in particular or is so similar it seems stupid to you; in this situationβ Centaurs. Even if it's just adding details, it's not right to call it a Closed Species.
There's many similar creations out there that are like these, and many licensed creation that are similar to other licensed creation.
But don't bash Quisling for her work.
She at least did her own thing. She didn't steal nor did this out of illegal actions. She worked hard on these too.

Centaurs are mythical creatures that has been created a long time ago. It's a part of a story. A part of history.
Just like Snow White, Cinderella, Greek Mythology and Alice and Wonderland. And many others.
Many people have made their own versions of Lewis Carol's story. They don't have to credit Lewis Carol, because it's a widely known subject.
It's being inspired and motivated. It's tying to capture the beauty and essence of a creation in an artist's personal way. It's carrying own a life in a different embodiment of it.
We all know centaurs was not created by Quislings. and Quisling is not saying she owns all creations of Centaur nor is she the first.
She's adding in specific details and design that differentiates hers from other Centaurs. Thus she owns these characteristics for her species.
Not saying she owns Centaurs.
If Quisling is not allowed or is wrong for creating Centaur characters. The series of Percy Jackson should be wrong to do so too. And every other person alive in these passing century and now that has thought of creating subtopics of Centaurs or rendering their own creation/species of Centaurs.
And selling them.
Many people have made merchandise of their favorite shows. Many have sold products based or of arts made of a licensed object/subject.
It's not illegal and it's not wrong.
If you think it's stupid for an artist to be paid a lot for their work, then it just means you don't value that artistβs work for that particular price.
Just let them be, and move along.
If they're really wrong, then they'll be punished for it.
