Description San Diego Wild Animal Park

You are looking at a Saber Oryx, a gazelle from the Sahara Desert. This info thanks to *Ameban and * utarefson670 .

The wild animal park isn't like a zoo, there is a giant 900 acre space with all different kinds of animals, zebras, rhinos, girrafes, buffalo - you name it - some are seperated from eachother by big ponds or fences, others are in the same giant area. On a tram ride around the space, i was lucky enough to find this ram just coming over a hill - he seems to look pretty powerful, dontcha think?

Thanks so much for looking!

Very Similar Pictures
Six - two oryxes instead of one, same situation

Very nice shot and angle... But it isn't a Gemsbok, but a Saber Oryx from Sahara Desert. Both species are oryx, but Gemsbok is beige and Saber Oryx is white and his long horns are curved

I really like the tones you chose. It has a kind of serene power to it, which leads us exactly to think of a title similar to the one you chose . the world at his feet, he's the king of the hill (:

I love the composition here. The long photo really gives the image a sense of space. Great choice. The contrast is wonderful, but it also brought out quite a bit of noise in the sky. Anyway, great job!
