The spikes on his shell are pointing slightly downwards. I dunno if that's accurate, haven't paid attention to that detail in official works.
The spikes on his collar and cuffs are definitely off, I'm pretty sure you can see that.

lol. Admittedly, the collar and arm band spikes are a bit out of proportion. The downward shell spikes? Well, that was mainly to show the roundness of his shell, but I guess a couple of them are a little too downward.
