{ history }
born to a rogue mother and father on a cold day just after the end of leaffall, aspen was raised in a small cave in the woods with her brother and sister. her father left them not long after her birth, forcing her mother to survive on her own with the kits. when their mother went out to hunt one day during leafbare, a blizzard struck very suddenly, trapping their mother in it's windy torment. the kits, probably around 3 or 4 moons old by then, were worried and eventually, their brother went into the snowstorm to hunt for their mother. it was only after the snow stopped that the remaining two were able to leave the cave and search. they found their dead brother buried in the snow and lost hope of finding their mother. after staying in the cave for a day or two, aspen began to grow sick and the two went off in search of help. it was then that they stumbled upon ashclan, who gladly took the two in. she was given a new name of aspenpaw and lived with her sister until they became apprentices very recently.

{ appearance }
aspenpaw, unlike most calicos, is a mixture of browns, blacks, and silvers. her fur is soft and feathery, a tuft of hair sometimes able to drift in her face. she has a long tail, which is bushy, almost like a squirrel's. her eyes are a brilliant blue with lighter flecks, and she had white patches on her muzzle, chest, and paws. she is of larger build than most female apprentices, having been born with broad shoulders and strong hindlegs that are good for jumping. her muzzle is small, almost scrunched into her face (not unlike yellowfang) and her eyes are large and full of curiosity. she has average sized ears and paws that are slightly too big.

aspenpaw's claws are small and silver, but sharp to the touch. slightly above average in strength.

[positive]

gentle
aspenpaw's largest, more dominant trait is her gentleness and kindness with other cats in the clan. while her sister, blossompaw, is more reserved and serious, she is mostly sweet and friendly, very much like blossompaw when she's not "in her shell". she, too, doesn't have much to say, but always speaks in a soft, kind voice.

hard-working
strong-willed and determined, aspenpaw works hard at anything she does. she knows what she wants and works until she gets it. while gentle and kind, she has an inner fire that most cat's don't get to see on the outside very often.

intelligent
she is very smart and is actually, while not as great a hunter (see paws) or fighter (see pushover), she's a fantastic strategist and uses her head to get out of touch situations. she also gives great advice.

large paws
because of her larger paws, she happens to be quite the clumsy cat! her long tail helps with balance, but for the most part, she can trip over thin air on a regular basis.

pushover
while her gentleness is one of her more positive traits, it plays off into a sense of pushover. she's very obedient with everyone and despises trouble, allowing other cats to walk all over her at times. "aspenpaw, can you go get me a squirrel?" "aspenpaw, can you do my apprentice duties for me?"

keeps emotions inside
because aspenpaw's personality is to naturally be a mediator for everyone else, because of her kindness, she tends to keep her emotions inside. she doesn't allow herself to vent those emotions and others don't see she's upset about anything.
