Description
The next time the human came back, they removed the other two mares from that stall. Michah stayed between the humans and the white mare, Dove, and made sure none of them got close to her, though it didn't seem like they were going to try to take her away. The two were left on their own for awhile, with the humans checking in just to refill water or food troughs. During this time, Dove and Michah made their relationship more -ahem-...official. Shortly after that interaction was had, the humans returned once again and moved the pair to a corral outside, removing the bandage on Michah's leg before turning him out. He had a nasty scar, but no permanent damage was done.

They spent a few days out in the pen, and as time went on Michah began to worry that they would be stuck here forever. Sure, it was nice to have food and water readily available, but he didn't like being restricted to such a small area, or being this close to humans, especially with a nervous mare who was carrying his foal. He could tell Dove was worried too, so he put on a brave face for her. If they weren't released soon, Michah would have to start looking into escape options.
