Half the time I draw something I don't know whether I like it or absolutely abhor it.
I changed this outfit so much over the entire course of working on it.. and it looks only remotely Japanese. A plain old yukata was the original base of this, then I slowly started adding on and taking away as I worked, and ultimately it came out to this.

But Nima likes it, and ruffly things apparently. She made that blue paper flower in her hair herself :,D If I manage to get into the rp before this event is over orz this is what she'll be wearing.
It's not very spring-y, I went for green rather than the usual blue-gray I like to use, to try to spring it up a little, but, eh.
Anyways, I'm not banking too much on getting anything from the contest, this could be a lot better haha
Mostly I just wanted Nima to have a Flower Festival outfit :P
You would be surprised how hard it is to color a gold blush.. Though that might just be because she has brown skin. ... I:< Weird

She looks so pretty, i love the hair decorations and the ruffles on the skirt. It reminds of like kimono crossed with a flamenco dress, i dunno why.

Initially the idea was just going to be a yukata, but I started adding on and then taking away pieces from Mexican outfits. The skirt was supposed to be the same sort as Mexican dancers wear, but it kind of only half-way accomplished that haha.
And it initially had this around the bust -> [link] but it looked really tacked on so I took it off, and half of the sleeves came with it, hah
Nima's Mexican and a Golett, so I incorporate that into pretty much everything I design for her
And even though there's not a lot of resemblance anymore, here's what I was looking at initially to get inspired:

That, and just type Mexican dress in Google and it pulls up all kinds of beautiful outfits. I love designing Nima outfits, and gijinka in general, it's really easy and fun since I always have a theme to work off of, haha :,D
