Why I did this, I'm not sure, but I now have this Green Day mural on my bedroom wall.I tried to incoperate stuff that really ranged their whole career, and the backround is made out of lyrics from each of their Cds.
The lighting in my room is epicly horirble, so the pictures aren't glorious, but you get it.

Okay.. this is incredibly awesome. I'm planning on doing a Green Day bedroom Mural myself, not this exact one, but could you explain how the feck you did all this without messing up? I think if i was to attempt something like this i would screw up and throw the remainder of the paint straight at the wall... >:0

Well first tip, excercise your anger by throwing the paint at the wall first; that way you'll have a cool paint splattered backdrop and be nice and chill to start the real work. Ha.
But no, seriously, make up a sketch of what you want and make sure that you're familiar with how to draw it in a sketchbook first before outlining it on your wall. (in pencil of course; shine a bright light on your work space so you can see the faint lines)If you're not much of a sketcher, grid it; you can ask me if you need instructions. Once you have your lines, paint some faint outlines and make sure the dimensions look right, then go ahead and start painting it in; you might want to put down a coat of flat white paint over the entire mural you intend to paint on first if the wall isn't a nice light colored painting surface. Work from one side to the other so you dont mess up what you do as you countinu eworking.

excellent! i may do something similar to this on my bedroom wall as i'm to redecorate. i actually did a wee deviation that combines all of the album artwork if you want to see it.
