This one I REALLY REALLY like!I was surprised that I was able to add the hair down by the feet. GOD BLESSED US WITH A SMUDGE BRUSH!!

Gimme a break I had to listen and get them by ear, and they're not always the best to understand, The Killers.
See, my internet is on a schedule, for those of you who don't know, so I can't always look things up or get pictures and stuff >< Really makes me work to get things done quickly, efficiently, and with a nice look xD
Edit:: I get that there's too much text, honest ^^' If I had the patience to go back and change it right this moment I would but you see, I have this gift for a friend that I want to finish in the next 5 days before she gets back from her trip, so editing this baby will have to wait until then

Mine looks unrealistic compared to yours.
Anyways, this is an awesome manip.
My only suggestion is not so much text. It makes it look a little crowded.
But other than that your lighting is awesome, and the overall feel is amazing.
Even the shadow is amazing.

Heh, shadows is me playing with the transform points with skewing and distorting and a mask to adjust the Gaussian blur to taper for distance... ^^ Basically you start the mask as a black to transparent gradient to where the red is on the shadow closest to your subject, because shadows are sharper the closer to the object they are, then you just Gaussian blur the selected part of the shadow so it looks right ^^ I took a class >.>
Anyway, yea, I realize it was a bit much text. If I ever use it for anything I'll either fade it more or remove a lot of it ^^
As for smudging, really I just set the smudge tool to anywhere between 80%-95% at 1 pixel and smudge the little hairs back in, but I also have a tablet so I try to use penpressure if the driver works. I don't even know if it does anymore because I had to uninstall then reinstall it ^^'

I took a photography class centered around Photoshop, but we didn't learn much xD or what we did I already know.
Your explanation is so much more helpful though! Thanks for the tips, I'm definitely going to work on it. I have a tablet myself, but I can't get my pen pressure to work o-o; I dunno what I did to it. But it works well either way.

Oh, I also forgot to mention ^^
I don't use the smudge brush in normal mode. If the hair is light colored I use light, and dark colored use dark, so that the strands show up over other colors instead of retarded blending issues ^^ That might help a bit

this is great..i really really like it except i think there is too much text in it..you could have tried to blend in the text better.
