Well, I must say I was expecting something with rather more black on it, since he's a dark elemental, but I think it's safe to say that this colour scheme is a hell of a lot better than what I was anticipating. The 'brighter' colour scheme somehow makes him look more threatening than he might have done if he were black - probably because the colours give off that warning-frill-type-look...if you know what I'm trying to say...
I should also say that I love the effect of the gold markings and spikes - makes them stand out oh so much more, and makes him look far more threatening than he migh otherwise have appeared. All in all, you've created a perfect impression of a dragon that no one would want to face ^^
In short, I love it ^^

Nah, you didn't mess it up! You designed a dragon that's better than what I'd anticipated, based on something that was, in all honesty, a very vague description. Don't worry about it - I love it ^^
Mmm. I'm not sure. Now that I think about, I'm torn between using this design for the dark dragon (who needs to be renamed XD) and using it for the fire dragon, Pyro. Either way, it'll be used for someone ^^
Thanks again!

Ooooh, I really, really love the wings and their markings and colors....
And for some reason... the coloration and markings on the body make me think of a Doberman or a Rotweiler. o.o

Incredible! The hues of deep red are truly on your hands; so much in it's form, and it's not just a single color, but I think I see at least four hues in one area alone -- deep and rich, definitely you didn't scrimp on colors and gave it the works!

Yeah, I was kind of worried about that. I'd hoped that the dorsal spines would help that read a little bit more clearly.
