This picture was inspired by a visit to Powell Gardens (which is about 2/3 of the way between Kansas City and Warrensburg, MO).
My own colored versions of these dragons wound up in two separate pictures with VERY different backgrounds. The lineart you see here is actually the old, original design whose pencil drawing I scanned, printed, and inked. The drawing on which the coloring design is based no longer exists, as I cut that original drawing to pieces and applied the dragons to those two other projects. Versatility FTW.

That's kind of what inspired my string of line designs in the first place. I want to make the kind of coloring books *I* would have wanted as a kid (and have consequently made a goodly number of kids happy in the process
