"So my doctor's appointment is the day after tomorrow?" Reyna asked softly as she traced the life line on the rangers palm. Muttering a soft yes, Sidhel eased opened her eyes, the hot bath water was close to making her fall asleep, "And in the morning we're going shopping for some new clothes."

"Oh?"

As Reyna shifted her head to try and look at the ranger, Sidhel could not help but see a worried expression on her human's face. "You've been asking for some warmer clothes, and we should not be advertising your condition, not while we can still keep it quiet." Seeing the hesitan nod, Sidhel could not help wonder, "What's wrong." as she placed a finger under the humans chin.

With a heavy sigh, Reyna shrugged her shoulders, "Its just, well, Electra told you about her taking me out the last time, and the run in with the purist?" Seeing a answering nod, she continued, "Well...I understand that some people don't care for humans...we have our own problems in things like that. But she seemed to hate me, I mean theres someone more to me just being human ain't there?"

Leaning forword, Sidhel licked the droplets of water froming on the humans cheek, "How much elfish history do you really know?" Laughing at the question, Reyna turned back around laying against the elf, "Less than a first grader I bet."

"Way back machine," Sidhel began remembering an old human cartoon, "It's estimated, that when the humans found us, there were about fifteen million elves, living East of the what's now called the mississippi, which is now the United States." Seeing Reyna's nod, the ranger continued, "Well, within three hundred years, about a million had moved west into the UER, about another million lived throughout the states, and the remaining thriteen million are dead."

Raising from her bath, Reyna gave the ranger a look of shock. Pulling her back against her body, Sidhel wrapped her arms around the human and hugged her close. "Disease, killed close to half, the rest...well, remember we're the children of the devil. Only thing the missioniares, did was try to covert us to their god, before they killed us, so we can go to gods arms after we're murdred." SHaking her head as Reyna started to speak, Sidhel continued. "It was a holy war to the humans, killing the devils, those of my tribe, the Aldaron's recevied the worse punishments. I won't tell you the stories, just that death was a blessing."

"So, the purist also hate humans for what we did to your people?" Reyna said, her mind remembering all the stories she had forgotten in school about the settling of the states.

"Not all," Sidhel said quickly, "the hard core purist like to used what happen to jusitify, the purist philosophy." Pausing, Sidhel touched her head to Reyna's, "Only thing I'm still wish is that the pope would finally apologize for the Children of the Devil edict...but, I and the vast majority of elves, don't hold today's humans responible with what someone did three hundred years ago."

Snorting, Reyna looked at Sidhel with a smile, trying to lighten the mood, "You sure about that? Seems those spankings you give are a bit hard."

Laughing, Sidhel hugged her tight while water splashed around them, "I always thought it was because someone kept screaming...harder...harder!"

Turning around in the tub, Reyna rose to her knees and held out her hand, "Let's go to bed." Smiling as Sidhel softly took the offered hand, with a kiss to the knuckles, "Lets," the ranger replied.
