A Time Lord’s Burden

You sat on the rail of the TARDIS while the Doctor paced franticly
“ How, how, how!?” he shouted
“ Well, if you’d shut up maybe I could help you!” You said
“ ,You don’t have the mind of a Time Lord! If I can’t understand it, there’s no way you can!”
“ Just because I’m human doesn’t mean Im inferior!” you snapped
“ Yes, but a Time Lord can’t just regenerate backwards! It doesn’t work like that!” He ran a hand through his hair, frantic now.
“ Doctor, calm down,” you hopped off the bar, and put a hand on his shoulder. “Really, we can figure it out!”
“ Thanks, Love.” he said, relaxing a bit.
“ It could be that you’re sick,” you said. You felt his heart beats, and ran your hand down his chest, back and legs.
“ I don’t feel anything out of the ordinary,” you said.
“ Oh no,” the doctor stiffened, realization washing over his face “Im dying!”
“ Come again?” you muttered, surprised by what he had just said to you.
“ A time lord can regenerate to restore themselves, but only nine times. I’ve done it ten and a hand! I’m going to die…”You double checked him. One of his hearts had stopped.
“I think you need a doctor,” you said, and pulled him into a kiss. But this than a display of affection. You were stealing his death, being much more than a normal human. You pulled away, and whispered to him.
“I love you,” Then it started. You glowed with regeneration energy. Instead of becoming a new person, though, you became a pile of ash.
The Doctor knelt by your remains, crying. This, was the burden of a Time Lord.
