Just wow. I very recently (yesterday in fact) got the hang of shutter control - also without a tripod, so most of the photos were blurred - but this is really fantastic. Great detail.

Very nice. If I tried that on my knee it would be blurry. I have to lug a tripod with me all the time...

I really like the way how you captured the stream. Shutter speed isn't fast enough to stop the movement, but it isn't slow enough to make it all fuzzy. There is still a lot ofdetails left in the water surface. And the rapids is very beautiful itself.

You should get insurance on that knee, just in case something ever happens to it. You wouldn't want to lose that balancing talent!

Great greens, and the exposure is perfect

rad-ix In reply to SouLitta [2007-08-24 20:34:06 +0000 UTC]

Thanks a lot, and you're right ...until last week I had a very huge old CRT monitor which never looked sharp. Everything is now quite different on my new LCD, so I'm gradually working my way through my gallery and unsharpening everything.

Hmm, I agree with both sides of the argument ...but you'll have to convince him that it's an investment in your future ...and that's more important! In the meantime, have you tried getting hold of Photoshop Elements, especially version 2 - it was given away for free with almost every piece of hardware a while back ..and I've seen the most amazing art on dA done with it, including Daily Deviations.
