Description

As a former PaintToolSAI user that had to shift to Photoshop because I migrated to Mac, one of SAI's feature that I missed the most is its Ink Brush tool. No matter how big you set it to be, it will always give you crisp thin line when you press it lightly.

Photoshop’s brushes, in the other hand, is not as delicate. Even with pen pressure on, light touches still doesn’t make lines as thin as SAI’s. Sure, people suggests to make the canvas bigger and use very small brush, but I prefer my brush bigger so I can have more variance on line thickness (and I prefer to be able to see a circle as my brush rather than a dot thx)

THEN ONE FATEFUL DAY I DISCOVERED THESE SETTINGS

And thus decided to share it with you. May it solve your problem and make your dreams come true. THE END.

Neat trick!
Have you looked into Artrage? While it lacks in certain areas, and has a different almost unnatural feel (initially) I find that it's Pencil and Pen tools are rather capable. YMMV

Hmm not really, I prefer not to install too many softwares in my small laptop....and I have found plenty of natural-looking pencil brushes for Photoshop, anyways!

I used to use that nasty little trick a lot with the smoothing option

I find that using smoothing alters the shapes a lot more, but I'll keep it in mind
