When a model is submerged into the ground it can be problematic to create a good mask in photoshop. A good way to solve this is to create your own floor texture. You can copy an existing floor mesh folder and make the changes to it. Give it a white diffuse texture and a black light map. You load this floor mesh with load generic item. Then go into the material editor and add the black light map. To create the mask light the model with strong white light with min shadow depth. If your background is black you should get a white silhouette submerged into the ground. A perfect mask for the photoshop work.

A reflection is best created by cloning the model and mirroring it along the y-axis. When you do this the mirroed model may look strange. Just save the scene and reload it and it should look fine. The reflection model should be moved along the y-axis until it meets the model in a perfect mirror. When you export the reflection model you should re-align all lights so the reflection is lit in the same way as the model. Otherwise it looks a bit strange.

The pose is actually not that difficult to pull off once you get the back bend right. As I have found out a long time ago, back posing is much easier when you add some movement to the spine. Z-rotation + x-movement or x-rotation + z-movement. You have so much more control over the spine when you use these combos.
