Subsurface is a mix factor between a diffuse and sss shader. Set this to 1 to only use the SSS shader and eliminate the diffuse shader completely.

Subsurface_Color. This is the base color of the material when using the SSS shader. The diffuse texture should be plugged into this slot.

Subsurface_Radius controls the strength of the SSS effect (how far it goes). It is these values you should alter to tone the SSS shading. 1 means
1 blender unit. This is too much as a typcial doa character is about 2 blender unit. When was the last time light penetrated through half your body?
Like never right? This picture uses:

{Red: 0,02, Green: 0,005, Blue: 0,005}

The idea is to lower all colors until the SSS effect look realistic to you. Remember the SSS on real human skin is just a couple of millimeters,
so you need to go rather low. After that you fine tune the ratio between the colors to make the SSS effect have the right color. Human skin look
good with a reddish/pinkish/peachy look, so letting red having a higher number will make your sss get into that territory.
The rest is experimentation.

It took some months for me to understand these mechanics, because blender's other sss shader nodes has something called a scale factor
which I confused with the principled shader's subsurface factor. Previously when I used SSS in principled I let the sss radius be 1 blender unit,
and I used 2% sss shader, and 98% diffuse shader. Recipe for disaster. 2% of the incoming light scattered through the entire body. This setup
created bright lines in creases for me. With the correct setup all of these weird artifacts has disappeared. Finally, I can start to to have fun
with sss in blender.
